:: 101 in 1001 {III}: three is the new two ::

the premise, per triplux (a fine source for tips, scripts, and links to other lists):
The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).

Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as new year's resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.

We could work on 4 at once. run the NYC marathon. It will help the mileage total, you could have your name printed in the Times, you could run 8 in less than an hour, and you'd run 10K plus a few in public.

marathons, alas, are not for me; jen is the running roommate, you see, and i am the sequin-wearing sleeper.

I've got you covered on (obviously) 14, but also 48, 75, and 78.  The Peachtree 10K on the 4th of July is suppposed to be awesome, and I believe sequins are also encouraged.  MARTA counts as a new transit line, too.

I really like this project.

I saw David Bowie in 2002 and it was one of the best concerts I have ever seen.
